The Ruby 2.5 greenhouse is 2.5 meters wide. Basic length is 4 metres (greenhouse’s length may be increased by any 2-meter increment, for instance, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 metres). The space between the arcs is 0.65 metres.
Frame – The greenhouse’s structure is made of a square pipe being 20 x 20mm galvanized.
Base – The greenhouse must be installed on a foundation. We recommend pressure treated timber 150 x 100mm or foundation piles which will increase the overall height of your tunnel by 150mm.

Description
Dimensions:
Greenhouse width of 2.5 metres, height of 23 metres, length of 4, 6, 8 or more metres, in multiples of 2m.
Frame:
The bottom of the greenhouse and the door pillars are made of galvanized square pipe 25 x 25. Powerful double arc-trusses made of square both inside and outside galvanized pipe 20 x 20. The distance between the arcs is 1 meter or 0.65 m. NOTE! The ends of the greenhouse are also made of a double arc-truss. Doors do not hang out. Everything is extremely reliable.The greenhouse has a triple margin of safety.
Novelty of 2018: reinforced ends and doors of greenhouses. Such reinforcements protect polycarbonate from “sails effect”, giving the frame maximum rigidity. Protect the ends and doors from drifts.
The frame is fastened with 7 longitudinal guides, which prevent polycarbonate failure under the weight of the snow cap and impart additional stability to the frame.
The greenhouse can withstand any wind and snow loads. Does not require care in winter.
Standard set of a greenhouse has:
2 doors and 2 ventilating windows at opposite ends of the greenhouse. Additionally automatic windows are also available.
Polycarbonate:
Standard polycarbonate sheet is 6m long, 2.1m wide and 4mm thick. It has a layer of UV protection on the top.
Polycarbonate fastening:
Double reinforced fastening: roofing self-tapping screws with a rubber press washer through the galvanized tape. Thanks to such fasteners, accidental pushing of polycarbonate during installation is excluded. Such fastening of polycarbonate helps to avoid the breakdown of polycarbonate by a sharp gusty wind.
Thanks to a frame with a zinc coating class of 140-180 microns, the greenhouse is extremely resistant to rust and does not require tint or paint during operation (unlike greenhouses painted with DTM). The design of double arches-trusses greatly increases the safety factor.
Automated Ventilating Windows
A ventilating window will open and close automatically when the environmental temperature changes. When fitting an Automated Ventilating Window to a Polycarbonate Greenhouse, the window is inserted into the polycarbonate sheeting, thus it cannot be sealed. Occasional leaking will occur and condensation between the polycarbonate sheeting is normal.
