The DROP 2 is from our apex shaped line of Polycarbonate tunnels and comes at a standard width of 2 Metres Wide. It is assembled using our standard Polycarbonate sheeting providing maximum sun-allowance to help plant/vegetable growth while also protecting against harsh weather conditions.
Using the Greenhouse builder below, please select the desired Length of your Greenhouse. The option to add in our fully-fitted raised beds and our automatic ventilation windows are also available below. All extra additions are automatically added to the final price of the tunnel.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE SUPPLY-ONLY KITS DO NOT INCLUDE A TIMBER BASE OR FOUNDATION PILES AND MUST BE ADDED SEPERATELY.
Description
Dimensions:
The DROP 2 comes at a standard width of 2 Metres Wide.
The length of the Tunnel starts at a minimum of 2 Metres Long and can be increased in multiples of 2 Metre sections to the desired length.
The overall Height of the Tunnel frame is 2.2 Metres (Height of metal frame only)
Frame:
The frame is made of a galvanized square tube 20 x 20, the distance between archs is 600mm. The frame is secured using 3 ridge bars connecting each section together and can be additionally used for hanging flower baskets.
The standard kit includes:
2 doors and 2 ventilating windows at opposite ends of the greenhouse. The door width is 800mm and the heigth is 1720mm. The Ventilation window on the door is 720mm wide and 420mm high and can be secured in an open or close position.
Polycarbonate Sheeting:
Our standard twin-wall polycarbonate sheet is 6 metres long, 2.1 metres wide and 4mm thick. It has a layer of UV protection on the top. Our polycarbonate sheeting comes with a standard 15-year manufacteurer's warrenty against UV breakdown.
We also have a 6mm polycarbonate sheeting option available on special request. Please contact us for details.
Polycarbonate fastening:
The polycarbonate roof sheets are secured using galvanised strapping on the outside of the sheets over the individual arches. The strapping is secured with galvanised Tec-screws with a rubber washer underlay to protect the sheeting from pressure damage.
Installation Recommendations:
We recommend that the Greenhouse is situated on a surface that is as level as possible. Polycarbonate Greenhouses are not suited for areas of uneven surface.
For extra support when installing your tunnel, we recommend placing the metal frame on a timber support frame or by using foundation piles that secure the tunel to the earth. Both options are available from us and come as an additional price.
Installation
All our supply-only greenhouses come with an instruction booklet which will help you erect your tunnel with ease.

Optional Extras
Automatic Ventilation Window
An Automatic ventilation window, if not chosen initially with your install, can be added at a later date by yourself. An instructional video on how to install the Automatic window is shown below:
Timber Base Frame:
We offer a timber base frame for additional weight and support for your tunnel. Our timber base frame is 150 x 75mm, pressure-treated for outdoor durability. When ordered as part of a supply-only tunnel, the timber base will be supplied to the size of your chosen Greenhouse.
Foundation Piles
We offer Ground foundation piles which are used as additional support for your Greenhouse. These foundation piles are Square pipe that are attached to the Base of the Greenhouse frame and are then dug into the ground.
